The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA), founded in 1976, has provided individuals concerned with the fraternity/sorority movement an avenue for professional growth and development. As the representative voice of and advocate for our profession, the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors exists to support the professional development of our members, foster partnerships across higher education, and offer innovative resources and services to persons involved in the advisement of fraternities and sororities. The Association is dedicated to meeting the needs of its membership.

AFA has five categories of membership: Professional, Graduate, Affiliate, Emeritus, and Vendor. Go here to find descriptions of these categories.

After submitting your membership form online, the resulting confirmation page can be printed as a receipt (if paying by credit card) or invoice (if submitting a check separately).

Vendor Member Benefits
Vendor membership is a special category of AFA membership available to businesses and organizations wishing to broaden their markets or work cooperatively with the fraternal community. In addition to the benefits listed above, Vendor Members enjoy the following benefits:

• Recognition as an Vendor Member of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors and ability to use the AFA Vendor Member logo
• Inclusion in the online Vendor Members
• Receipt of a complimentary membership mailing list and additional lists for a reduced cost
• Use of AFA Vendor Member Logo, with approval, on stationary, and in advertisements
• Eligibility to advertise in Perspectives at a reduced rate
• Eligibility to attend the Annual Meeting for the Association at the member registration fee
• Eligibility to exhibit at the Annual Meeting, at an additional Exhibitor Fee
• Eligibility to sponsor Annual Meeting materials, publications, speakers, educational programs, and food and beverage functions

The AFA membership year is July 1st through June 30th. AFA memberships are individual in nature. AFA membership dues are not tax deductible as charitable contributions; however, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses.
 
Affiliate Member Group Discount
AFA offers a discount to Affiliate members who join as a group. Affiliate members are individuals actively concerned with enhancement of the advisement of men's or women's fraternities who are not employed in full-time administrative positions by a college/university or inter/national fraternity or sorority, including volunteer advisors and officers on the campus, regional or national level, faculty members, and other interested parties. To take full advantage of the group discount, all members should sign up at the same time. Groups may be made up of individuals volunteering for a fraternity/sorority (Ex. the national officers of an organization) or individuals from a college/university (Ex. all the chapter advisors from a campus). An individual can only be counted in one group. For more information, contact the Central Office.
