Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Executive Director Steps Down

FORT COLLINS, COLO. (November 9, 2016) ― The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) announced today that Mark Koepsell has stepped down from his role as Executive Director, effective immediately, after managing the day-to-day operations of the Association for four years. Koepsell has served in dual roles as AFA Executive Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Synergos, and Association Management Company since the company’s inception in June 2012.
“Over the past four years, Mark has helped strategically position AFA within the higher education community by expanding our partnerships with other professional associations,” said AFA President Veronica H. Moore. “The Board of Directors is thankful for Mark’s tireless efforts to strengthen the Association during his tenure.”
“It has been a privilege to serve as AFA’s Executive Director for the past four years,” said Koepsell. “I am confident the Association will continue to enhance the professional capacity of its members and will remain a valued partner in the higher education community.”
The AFA Board of Directors will announce its plans for staff leadership in the coming weeks. Joslyn McGriff, Assistant Executive Director, will lead the Association’s Central Office staff in the interim.
