Beta Theta Pi & AFAF Announce Investment in the future of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors

Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and Foundation and the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Foundation (AFAF) announced today a leadership gift of $60,000 to be used to enhance educational content for all Association members.

“Beta Theta Pi is proud of our long-standing partnership with Association and Foundation, dating back to the Fraternity’s first gift in 1996. It is a natural fit to commit this gift during AFA’s 40th Anniversary, to ensure leaders in the fraternity and sorority movement receive the education and training that they so deserve,” shared Jeff Rundle, Executive Director of Beta Theta Pi.

This gift recognizes the Fraternity in the AFA Foundation’s Diamond Society, which has been renamed in recognition of Beta Theta Pi’s generosity. With this gift, Beta Theta Pi will be recognized in all Annual Meeting publications and have an opportunity to speak at the opening session during AFA’s Annual Meeting.

“A leadership gift of this magnitude is transformative for the Foundation and the Association and will continue the legacy of Beta Theta Pi as a leader in the interfraternal community,” said Ben Pendry, chairman of the AFA Foundation.

The ultimate recipients and beneficiaries of this leadership gift will be the undergraduate fraternity and sorority members who depend on their campus based advisors and headquarters professionals to help them define fraternity and sorority.

###

Known across the continent for its award-winning Men of Principle initiative, Beta Theta Pi ranks among the top 10 fraternities in number of chapters, undergraduate members and living alumni. Beta Theta Pi was founded in 1839 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and consists of nearly 10,000 undergraduates on 137 campuses throughout the United States and Canada. The Fraternity serves more than 128,000 living alumni, some 1,500 volunteers, countless Friends of Beta and the parents of all undergraduates.

The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Foundation exists to secure, invest, and distribute the necessary resources to support the educational objectives of AFA and other relevant research, scholarship, and educational programming that furthers the fraternity/sorority advising profession.
