Annual Meeting









Save the Date! The 2017 Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Annual Meeting will take place in Atlanta, Georgia at The Marriott Marquis from November 29 - December 2. Make sure to stay tuned to social media and email updates for information on the 41st Annual Meeting. 

 

Please note, room blocks for the Annual Meeting will be released by AFA. Thus, you will not be able to reserve rooms in the designated block prior to us releasing these rooms. We typically open the block in late summer, so please check back then.

 

Call for Programs

The Educational Programs Committee is excited to open the Call for Programs for the 2017 Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting is a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other about how to advance our profession.

In order to make that experience meaningful, it takes members who are willing to share their expertise. We are looking for programs which seek to enhance learning, dialogue, and provide practical knowledge, as well as programs that fit with the core competencies of the Association. Click here for a summary of requested education. All program submissions are due Friday, June 23rd at 11:59 PM PDT.

Call for Pre-Conference Sessions

The Call for Pre-Conference Session Proposal is designed to provide an opportunity for individuals to submit a program proposal to be considered as part of the #Advance Program offerings held on Wednesday afternoon prior to the start of the Annual Meeting.

 

Please consider the following before submitting your program proposal. In order for an #Advance Programs to occur, it must:

  • Be a program participants are willing to pay an extra fee for
  • Have a minimum of 25 participants
  • Consist of at least three learning outcomes
  • Have a definable program structure

Remember that the information provided on the submission form will be used in our program book, website, and online guide. If your program is accepted, AFA reserves the right to modify the session title and description, as formatting requires.
