Institutional Review Board Documents
The Center serves higher education through engaging partners in discourse on research and assessment on fraternities and sororities. We work with our many partners to promote existing research, support and advise new research, and support endeavors to conduct research and assessment. We also compiled an Annotated Bibliography of fraternity and sorority research. This is organized by the following:
The present annotated bibliography was compiled for CFSR by Thomas B. Jelke, Ph.D of t.jelke solutions and Courtney Greene McDonald, M.L.S., Head, Discovery & Research Services at Indiana University. This compilation contains academic journal articles and dissertations related to fraternity and sorority life from 2009-2014.
Through our partnership with AFA, we have been able to support the publication of research on the fraternal movement and their scholarly research journal, Oracle: The Research Journal of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (Oracle). We also contribute articles in Perspectives like "Ready for Research but Don’t Know Where to Start? 10 Fraternity/Sorority Related Research Topics" by Dan Bureau.

Lurding Library of College Fraternity and Sorority Materials mss., ca. 1840-2014, consists of books, pamphlets, histories, yearbooks, and other bound volumes detailing the history of fraternities, sororities, colleges, and universities from all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the United States as well as some colleges in Canada.
The collection is organized into the following series: I. Oversize; II. Sororities; III. Fraternities; IV. Professional and Other Fraternities; V. General Fraternity/Sorority Material; VI. Colleges and Universities; VII. Other College Material.
Items in each series may include rosters, articles, yearbooks, newsletters, handbooks, pledge manuals, catalogs, photographs, membership information, and other historical materials. Most of the materials are arranged alphabetically by fraternity, sorority, or academic institution.
In the case that a particular volume contains information for a Greek organization and an academic institution, or for multiple academic institutions, there is a note under that item detailing where it is cross-listed and whether it has a different location.
An inventory is available here.
