|Leadership Election Slate|
The Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC) and the 2019 board of directors are pleased to announce the 2020 AFA Leadership Election Slate. This slate is the product of weeks of diligent work by members of the NEC. The following is a brief outline of the process that resulted in the 2020 AFA Leadership Election Slate:
Please note that in order to be eligible to vote, membership must be renewed by September 15, 2019. If you have any questions about the nomination and elections process, please contact Monica L. Miranda, NEC chair. If you have questions about the ballot or the voting process, please contact Lynda Wiley, executive director.
Board Of Directors
The board of directors candidates are: Brandon Cutler and Jessi Sheridan.
The voting process will ask members to rank candidates from first to last. The candidates who emerge in first and second will be elected to the 2019 board of directors.
Nominations & Elections Committee
The Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC) is elected prior to the Annual Meeting per the bylaws. The candidate with the most votes will be the Regional NEC Representative, and the candidate with the second most votes will be the Regional NEC Alternate Representative. An additional member from each region will be appointed by the board of directors.
In the case where there is no person slated for a position, the membership is invited to write-in a candidate to fill the position. If there is only one person slated for the position, the write-in candidates will be considered for the alternate. Qualified and interested write-in candidates will be voted on at the regional meetings at the Annual Meeting. Should you have any questions about the eligibility of a member to serve on the Nominations & Elections Committee, please contact Lynda Wiley, executive director.
